I tend to divide the people I work with into categories where you want some of them to be exceptional, and others just to meet a standard. Accountancy I think is one where I just expect them to meet a standard. Responsiveness is the main thing I look at and Inca have been absolutely fine on that. Inca have taken a big headache away from me. I’m actually a former accountant myself and have been Financial Director of six companies, but about ten years ago I got fed up with actually doing the accounts, and keeping up to dates with tax etc., so Inca have saved me from a lot of hideous stuff that I’ve been doing for far too long.
Inca are the only accountants I’ve worked with. I asked around, got two recommendations and contacted both; Inca came back very quickly and by the time the other guy came back I’d signed up with Inca. What I do notice about Inca is that, unlike a lot of small firms, they’re very responsive. I’ve got fairly straightforward and well defined set of requirements that Inca meet very well.
