Management Training Workshop: Self-Awareness, Team Interactions and Values

For a business to be able to thrive and grow, it’s critical everyone in the organisation who has management responsibilities receives professional training, equipping them with the insights and essential skills they need to be able to do their job properly.

While this might seem to be stating the obvious, it’s remarkable how many businesses fail to implement this basic principle.

All too often, someone doing their job well can find themselves promoted to a management position – simply because all parties consider it to be a natural career progression.

But excelling in a non-managerial role in no way equates to adequate preparation for managing people, and while someone might well be the perfect candidate, if they’re not properly prepared for stepping into a role which requires them to lead a team, the consequences are potentially damaging for both the business and the individual.

  • Are you a business owner looking to invest and develop your management team?
  • Are you a manager who has been promoted without adequate training?

If you’ve answered in the affirmative to either of these questions, the series of half-day Management Training workshops run by our strategic partner Rob Pickering at ActionCOACH are a great way to improve your management skills in bite-size chunks!

There are 6 workshops in the series:

  • Self-awareness, team interactions and values
  • Delegation and time management
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Principals and standards
  • Planning
  • Appraisals and team 1-1 meetings

These workshops are designed to educate and inspire managers, and help them to improve their effectiveness.

The series is ideal for anyone who has recently been – or is about to be – promoted to a management role, and who needs to acquire the skills to lead and manage a team, and make it as efficient and effective as it can possibly be.

Workshops run monthly, and while ActionCOACH encourage business owners and staff to take up the whole series, it is possible to attend individual workshops.

The next series of management training workshops begins on 18th May, starting with self-awareness, team Interactions and values
