Over the last 12 months, we’ve all had to embrace change and find new ways to work, connect, promote and sell. It’s hardly a surprise then that during this period LinkedIn – the world’s largest professional networking platform has seen its global user-base grow to 760 million, and messages sent between members increase by 23% year on year.
The pandemic has undoubtedly accelerated the platform’s phenomenal growth, but it was already an essential tool for any business. It’s the most powerful tool for building your personal and brand profile, connecting with quality prospects and developing relationships that lead to sales.
The platform is evolving all the time, with new features allowing users to promote and host virtual events (6.3 million people attended LinkedIn virtual events in 2020) and create more engaging and personal content using video. LinkedIn has also recently undergone a total visual refresh to improve the user experience and help make it even easier for members to build meaningful relationships.
If you’ve not yet made LinkedIn a central part of your sales and marketing strategy, your missing out on new business opportunities, and as we begin to transition back to normality, your business is in real danger of being left behind.
In our March webinar, social media expert Mary Thomas of Concise Training will explain everything you need to know about getting started and getting results with LinkedIn!

Who Is It For?
Our webinar is for anyone who runs or works in a small to medium-size business and has responsibility for finding new clients and growing sales. If you’re not using LinkedIn – or you are, but you’re not getting the results you want, this webinar will show you how to unlock its potential and boost your revenue.
LinkedIn can help you grow your sales whatever sector you operate in, but it’s especially powerful for B2B businesses.
What Will You Learn?
In this webinar, Mary will cover the basics of getting started with LinkedIn. She’ll show you how to use it to engage with new clients and convert connections into sales leads.
You’ll learn:
- How to create an optimised LinkedIn profile that will raise awareness of who you are & what you do
- How to connect & develop relationships with people who will either be directly interested in buying from you – or can influence others
- How to create content that will build your brand, attract prospects & establish you as an authority in your sector
- About LinkedIn’s latest features
This event will be fun, friendly, practical and interactive. You’ll be able to create a LinkedIn profile during the webinar (if you already have one, you’ll be able to enhance it as we go along), and there will be time for you to ask questions if you have any.
About Mary Thomas
Mary set up Concise Training in 2008, initially providing Microsoft Office training to organisations. An early adopter of social media, Mary used it to successfully promote her business – and quickly found herself being asked to provide help, advice and training in this emerging area. Mary adjusted her business model in response to demand, and today, Concise Training delivers social media training courses and digital marketing qualifications – as well as Microsoft Office training.
Mary established the first accredited social media qualification – the ITQ in Social Media; worked with City & Guilds on a new social media diploma and helped The Digital Youth Academy to create the learning materials for the Social Digital Apprenticeship. She is passionate about what she does and ensures that each person she works with walks away with new and useful skills to aid them in their day-to-day working life.
